The Louisiana IceGators presented a check today, May 31st, to Miles Perret Cancer Services for $1,400. The money was raised from a jersey auction for the IceGators “Breast Cancer Jersey Night” on February 3rd to support breast cancer awareness. The IceGator players wore special “Breast Cancer” themed jerseys which were sponsored by Scott Hebert Interiors, Inc.
“Our jersey auctions are fun and fans love them, but they serve a greater cause for the local charities and organizations that receive proceeds from the auctions,” said IceGators General Manager Louis Dumont. “It seems these days that cancer touches everyone’s lives at some point.” Dumont added, “We were thrilled Scott Hebert Interiors, Inc. chose Miles Perret to receive the proceeds because they serve so many in the community with cancer.”
