The Louisiana IceGators announced another signing today. This time it is local boy Josh Duplantis of Youngsville, Louisiana. This will be Josh’s second season with the IceGators. In 52 games during the 2011-2012 season Josh scored 5 goals and had 8 assist for 13 points on the season.
At 6-foot-1, the 210-pound winger definitely showed a physical presence on the ice last season. “Josh is a player with lots of potential,” said IceGators Coach Kevin Kaminski. “He wants to learn and get better. He made great strides and did what was asked. He’s a big kid that skates well, has good hands and loves to finish his checks. I don’t think he knows how strong he “really” is.” Coach Kaminski feels Duplantis has all of the assets to be power forward. “He will need to do all of the little things, with confidence, to accomplish this,” he said.
The IceGators annual season ticket drive is underway. To sign up for your season tickets call 337-704-4423. The IceGators 2012-2013 season will start back up at the Cajundome in late October.
